NBS Creative Challenge #1

“BEST SMALL BEAD-AND-BUTTON MOSAIC”

This year, there is no pre-determined theme for the mosaic challenge -– it’s all up to you! Show us what inspires you!

Prizes:

        1^st place $100

        2nd place $75

        3^rd place $50

Size: any size up to 12” x 12”

Mounting: artworks should be fully attached to a firm backing for upright display. Pieces being shown at the convention must be ready to hang from a hook. A frame (not part of the measurement) with wire for hanging, or stretched canvas, is suggested.

Criteria: Pieces will be judged based on creativity of design, intricacy, fullness, variety of buttons/beads, good color sense, and overall impact as a mosaic.

It is acceptable to use pre-made patterns as a stencil, and more than one layer of buttons/beads can be used.  Pieces do not have to fill the entire backing.

Juniors are not eligible for the monetary prizes for this award.

Entry Fee $3. Purchase in advance, for on site or online [by Monday July 28^th] at NBS store, Creative Challenge #1. You may enter on site on Monday, August 4^th. On site entries require a completed entry form.

OR, you may enter online via email to creative@nationalbuttonsociety.org by Monday July 28^th. Up to six photos are allowed. At least one photo must include a ruler or tape measure to verify size.

You MUST INCLUDE YOUR INVOICE # AND CHALLENGE # FOR ENTRY.

No limit on the number of entries per challenge per person.

Entries will be shared on the NBS Creative website pages and shown during the 2025 Fall Fest.
