FRANCIS ARAPIS-NOMEE

I am a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe of Indians and am a contemporary Native American Crafter and Artist. My talent is to create new and intriguing designs of beadwork, jewelry and crafts of all kinds.

I have been doing beadwork and crafting since I was a young girl. I was taught by my mother, Tillie Nomee, who was also a Coeur d’Alene Tribal member. My father, Bill Nomee, was a member of the Flathead Tribe from Montana and both enriched my life with their knowledge and experience in the culture.

My skills are, and always have been inherited and enhanced by my family and tribe. I enjoy teaching and currently provide a Live ZOOM Beading Circle to my Facebook group members.

I currently reside on the Coeur d’Alene reservation and am a retired Social Worker. I now spend my time caring for grandchildren and creating an online website and craft shop on social media.
